Website/Timesplitters: FP addition to the site

The site is for the most part done for viewing the work. I feel at this time it will be ok in its current form but i plan on overworking the portfolio page into much more detail. I want each thumbnail to open a new page that will give background og the projects. I want to explain what I did with the project and point out what I learned from it. This will explain my work much better to companies who look at my work. Right now I dont like the idea that if you click on a link you just get the HTML page of the whole document because in HTLM it reformatts the work like the script which is awful and the reader has little idea what they are looking at so I will fix that as soon as possible but I am moving back the the United States so im very busy getting that all done to sit and finish the site. I will do that next week when I have more time. I was able to finish gathering all the images and video I need to fully represent my level in timesplitters. Its a litle upseting I couldn't have a format people could down load and play but if you want to create it yourself it's all there. Below is a draft of what I will be presenting on the site. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the blog site you can look at a run through of the map in the editor and a two player gameplay test.

This is the first floor of the map titled 3 Level Teir Mainly because the player has access to all three level at all times.

This is the second floor of the map. There are three ways for the player to reach this floor but most of it is a floor layer that moves around the middle room where the bag is kept in bag tag mode. (*note) this map can be played will all modes it doesn't jus thave to be Bag tag.

The third floor is the way to the bag or middle room should someone be playing a different mode. The green marker on the map iamge is a laser gun turrent that players can use to stop other players from reaching the middle room. Each room is color labled so players can become framiliar with the different sections of the map.(*note each area was designed with balance in mind)

(In-game screen shot of the first floor but you can see the other two floors as well)

You gotta love Canada!

This image sums it all up....0-5 Canadians punished the Bruins...I was on the streets of Staint Cathrine at the IMAX watching the new Jackie Chan and Jet Li movie Forbiden Kingdom and i shall go into detail how cool it was to see the two together just having a cloud Nine moment one after the other watching the two fight as a team....ah its so crazy I remeber going to the video store in Conneticut and just renting all the Jackie Chan movies on weekends and just having a blast seeing him work. It's like seeing goku and vegeta fighting side by side as a kid you like Jet li in the film but Jackie is like your best friend you just know him so well and he just commands the screen when he's on...ok so back the game.
The Canadians won tonight and as I write this none game related blog i must stress that people are going crazy on the streets and cars and just laying on the horns non stop even now it's just out of this world. I have never seen the street of Staint Cathrine so empty because everyone was either in a bar or at the game and once that game ended with an amzing final goal by Sergei Kostitsyn, Assists: Tomas Plekanec and Andrei Kostitsyn to just slam the fact that Boston doesn't have shit on them and it was 14 seconds....i repeat second left in the game and Montreal scored the extra nail in the coffen for the boston hope of at least getting on goal. Every apt building is all light up like candles in the sky and in those rooms all I could see from my window were thousands of head from other people screaming out to the people screaming on the streets....man they are still screaming and honking even right now...it's 10:23 p.m. I hope they stop soon cause i'm going to be pissed if this continues i would like to sleep for more then three hours tonight...well I am happy right now.

The kind of song that makes people glad to be where they are and whoever their there with

First off this picture is bad ass...and my schooling is almost done and I must say its coming way too fast.

I have just started playing the game Postal 2, I'm sure it rings a bell but if it doesn't let me teach you the basics of Postal 2: "share the pain". The game stars a ex-game designer who because of money is fired from his job and this is where the player can choose how to react (they can choose to kill thier boss or deal with it and collect their last paycheck) What a lot of people that bash the game fail to realize is that there is a system in place to deal punishments to each action the player takes. While yes you can kill lots and lots of poeple in horrible ways you will be arrested or killed by police or noble towns people and at least for me after running around for about three hours in the twisted world (overly stereotyped) of Postal 2 I must say I stopped killing randomly for the stake of killing and just played the missions and let the cop NPC's shoot the protesters for me and its more of an off the wall sim now then a "murder simulator" I find I have no want to kill people but rather collect cats (yes you can "collect" cats) I felt bad after entering a chinese fast food joint to see them cooking the cats so I took it upon myself to rescue them, I am up to 43 cats saved right now. You can use them as silencers for you larger weapons but I think my new goal is to collect 50 cats and then try and set them free all at the same time!! its that emergent play that makes this game fun not the violent content...the game is always testing your resolve by having you wait in long lines to do tasks such as cash your paycheck or buy milk and while in the game you could "go postal" its more rewarding to make up your own rules otherwise if you just go around killing everyone nothing will get done and key NPC's that help complete missions will be dead and trust me you will get tired of senseless killing because it limits your choices within the game. I would also like to say the sounds throughout the game are awsome. When your close to objects such as a freezer or fan you will hear it and for a game like this you would think those things weren't taken into acount but they have and it helps the game overall. Its a 20 dollar game that should be less for the bugs and production vaule but there are some funny things with the names of objects and places in the game that give it it's own niche. So that's a little 101 with Postal 2 try it you might like it but overall its a great effort from developer Running with Scissors and can be more creative at times then the AAA titles out there.

I should be sending my stuff out to companies soon....
